What You’ll Do To be responsible for the end-to-end delivery cycle of the IP Network, starting from technology planning into the Design (High level / Low level) and delivery in the field. Design, engineer, and deliver business-critical IP information systems (HW & SW IP routing and switching systems) to NSE internal customers, Vodafone Business, Vodafone Partner Markets, and any external function upon demand, ensuring network stability and enhanced customer experience. The Engineer in this role performs advanced analysis, defines optimal technical requirements, implements and integrates complex SW&HW systems, supports development of new software functions, and performs testing and acceptance of IP Core information systems for fixed & mobile customers. They identify synergies, coordinate, and contribute to multiple strategic projects related to the above information systems, ensuring timely delivery to external clients (VF European markets). The engineer will also lead the delivery cycle of the above (LLD, coordination of activities to bring the project into reality), will coordinate the Lifecycle Management of the platform, and will observe and monitor resiliency, performance, and capacity management of the IP Network. The Engineer will also act to promote automation in the execution of the Networking task, requiring knowledge of Software Defined Network and coding ability is a plus. Who You Are Expert knowledge of IP network architecture and technologies (MPLS VPN, TE, QoS, IPv6, MC, NNIs, …), IP routing & switching information systems, network operating systems, and very good knowledge of dynamic routing protocols (BGP, IS-IS, OSPF). SW development background aimed to automate provisioning, performance monitoring & reporting, and introduction of Software Defined Network technologies. Excellent communication skills to liaise with other functions of Vodafone, driving the evolution of the IP networks in the markets of scope. Ability to work within a multi-national, multi-cultural team. Interfacing with clients (internal and external) to define service requirements and to adopt design accordingly. Able to understand customer complaints and pave the way to their resolution. Must have technical / professional qualifications: University degree in computer science, telecommunications, or equivalent. Industry recognized certifications at professional-expert level (e.g. CCNP, CCDP, CCIE) are considered a plus. Good awareness of wider technology aspects in telecommunications and ICT.
