In this position, you’ll work closely with internal engineers, architects, product and business development managers, and external suppliers leading the development of system components. You will write technical requirements, perform system trade studies, define the concept of operations, and maintain the technical baseline, including all the interface definitions. You will work closely with the program and the Integration & Test team to ensure that the system is developed and is fit for purpose. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within an organization that values growth, teamwork, and professional development.
Who You Are:

* Proven ability to support Business Support Systems (BSS) and Operations Support Systems (OSS) functional integration processes.
* Proven experience in IT infrastructure requirements for ground-based system installations.
* You’ve worked with or for comms system component suppliers, leading design reviews from either the supplier or customer side.
* You have a deep understanding and experience in the system development, integration, verification, and validation process.
* Possess 5-10 years of industry work experience.
What You’ll Do:
* Specify Ground Transport and Control Network and related functional composition of the whole communications system.
* Own the network level requirements and work with subsystem leads to ensure their requirements reflect the system needs.
* Define CONOPS to ensure that the connectivity network flows are clearly defined.
* Maintain the key sub-system level interface documentation and associated schema.
* Work with subsystem suppliers to ensure their designs meet the system level needs.
What You’ll Need:
As well as systems engineering experience, you should have deep expertise and prior experience working in the following specific areas:
* Background in software defined networking, routing protocols.
* Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, MPLS, BGP and QoS mechanism.
* Design of Transport Network for 5G backhaul, midhaul, and fronthaul networks.
* Experience with cloud-based broadband solutions and network automation.
* Experience with router data-plane, control-plane, and management-plane implementation.
* Experience with Transport Network management and orchestration.
Knowledge about NTN features would be appreciated.
You also should have experience of using various systems engineering software tools for requirements management and model-based systems engineering.
Where You’ll Work:
* Ideally based in one of the Eutelsat Group headquarters offices within the European Union, Paris, France or Torino, Italy.
* Flexible in-office and from-home remote work.
