Requirements Management Engineer
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Ensure that the management of tender and project requirements is performed as per the global company process and methodology, thus the delivered product meets the contractual requirements.
Provide the necessary support and training to tender and project teams regarding requirements management (RM) process, methodology and tool (DOORS) to perform activities requested by the process.
Monitor and report on the status of RM activities, manage the RM database and help engineers in their RM activities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement Requirement Management global processes on tenders, projects and product development by supporting project resources accessing DOORS Database and following training on tool, RM process & methodology. Support governance and compliance to all RM policies shall be given. Get approval from central RM Métier of any deviation to the RM process.
Act as the deputy to the TPM (Train Performance Manager), supporting the application of the RM process on a day-to-day basis:
* Define the RM Strategy for the development, tender, and execution phases (with support from management).
* Write and maintain the RM Plan.
* Work with Scope Owners to ensure they understand their actions and are working according to the project schedule.
* Ensure data is reused according to platform & tender strategy.
* Schedule and facilitate workshops with Scope Owners for each phase of the RM process (the allocation review and acceptance workshop, led by the TPM).
* Prepare and format exports for customer delivery.
* Communicate project status through relevant KPIs.
Act as the guardian of the integrity of the Contracts by ensuring that the contractual baseline and all changes to it are implemented in DOORS and communicated to the engineering team for technical clarification and decisions.
Drive the engineers in their Requirement Development Activities by assisting scope owners in building the requirements specifications and the traceability of requirements to design and validation. Perform requirements quality review, give feedback and propose improvements for Scope Owners to review and validate.
Perform Change & Configuration management by creating baselines according to RM processes, in cooperation with the configuration manager. Govern and maintain Baseline Release Notes according to Product Baseline Strategy.
Contribute to RM Network:
* Provide feedback/improvements to Global RM Métier through RM Site representative.
* Support Global RM métier in documenting process, methodology and training.
* Support DOORS bug reporting, issue resolution with Service Desk, IS&T and Tools upgrade UAT (User Acceptance Tests).
MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES
* University degree in engineering, with a minimum of two (2) years of requirements related experience utilizing database solutions for requirements management (DOORS).
* Practical experience of working on projects at various stages in a project lifecycle.
* Good communication skills in English.
* Systems Engineering/Integration conceptual knowledge.
* Technical writing, requirement elicitation and formalization.
