Our Client is part of a Multinational Corporation, the number one in its sector globally and we have been entrusted to recruit the Facility Manager
Location: Bologna Area
Role
Reporting directly to Purchasing Director, the position is responsible for developing and implementing workplace, real estate and programs for all our locations abroad.
As a Key Leadership Position, it demands a strategic and organized approach to facility management, ensuring the seamless operation, safety, and optimal utilization of company physical spaces, spearheading facility excellence and driving operational efficiency.
Main responsibilities include:
* Drafting of the facility management function budget for the company, evaluating any deviations during the year, managing the forecasting process and following up on projects
* Vendor management: select, negotiate with (in coordination with Purchasing dept.), and manage external vendors for facility services and supplies; oversee contractors performance to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness
* Analyzing the quality of services provided to recognize any critical issues, disservices or waste.
* Project management, supervision and management of plant construction sites
* Management of facilities layouts to optimize space utilization within facilities and enhance operational efficiency; plan and oversee office layout and workspace design
* Overseeing of effective operation of plants facilities
* Supervision of both routine and extraordinary maintenance activities of plants, coordinating activities of designers and specialized external firms, by independently manage the scheduling of activities, ensuring maximum compliance with planned maintenance frequencies and required standards.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Management or related qualification)
* At least 10 years' experience in facility management, in structured companies with global presence; experience within manufacturing environments is strongly preferred
* Detailed knowledge of facilities management best practices, vendor management, contract management, budgeting, and relationship management
* Analytical and financial skills necessary to develop and comprehend strategic plans and budgets
* Strong project management skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong comunnication skills, leadership
* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, service mindset
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with teams and stakeholders across different department
* Fluent in English
