Business Unit: Advanced Measurement Technologies
The Service Engineer plays a key role in supporting ORTEC products, fostering strong relationships with customers and Service Centers. This position aims to satisfy customer needs, drive business growth for AMETEK, and promote our company values.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Provide support to ORTEC customers in Italy, including installation and testing of new products and repaired items;
* Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults (lab/onsite) and perform routine maintenance and calibration;
* Analyze system performance, ensure quality assurance, and report findings;
* Offer remote and onsite customer support, as well as hardware and software training;
* Promote Service Contracts to ensure customer satisfaction and expand our business within the Italian territory;
* Assist in managing internal service activities, following company procedures and maintaining accurate documentation;
* Regularly report service activities to the Service Manager;
* Resolve customer complaints efficiently and effectively;
* Maintain communication with Service Centres (UK/US) and the Technical Support Group;
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
* A relevant degree or technical high school diploma in Physics, Nuclear Physics, or Nuclear Engineering;
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Willingsness to travel throughout Italy up to 60% of working days;
* Fluency in English and Italian;
* Proficiency in computer literacy and MS Office, Excel experience;
* Strong interpersonal and organizational skills;
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical documents.
