Job Description
The role of the Marketing Manager – Italy is responsible for building and executing marketing campaigns against the seasonal key stories and regional objectives. This role reports into the Head of Marketing EMEA but will be required to collaborate very closely with the country manager and key account manager to prioritise initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Build a comprehensive marketing plan in alignment with the Italian strategic business plan and the marketing objectives for each year.
* Focus all marketing initiatives on the key stories and key styles per season.
* Attend all sales meetings and strategically relevant account meetings to present the seasonal marketing tools and support the account manager in landing key styles and creating opportunities for marketing initiatives.
* Execute a retail presence strategy with a focus on key cities and key doors, ensuring storytelling in the targeted doors.
* Grow New Era’s digital presence in Italy.
* Ensure all licences are supported through the season with respective marketing activity and ensure these are specifically called out in the marketing plans.
* Manage the full process of creative briefing to production/installation for all local campaigns.
* Document all marketing activations with an ROI analysis and circulate to key stake holders on a regular basis.
* Align all marketing plans with the budget agreed on at the beginning of each year.
* Work closely with the key account manager to develop marketing initiatives for specific accounts while aligning on key stories, key styles, and a focus on activating stories across all licences.
* Ensure all SMU product packs have appropriate marketing activity planned and built into the country plan.
* Collaborate with key both account manager and the retailer to ensure product presentation is at its best in retail and online.
* Plan specific initiatives to grow New Era’s digital presence through key accounts especially through E-commerce, and social media platforms.
* Collaborate with the account’s marketing team to ensure all plans are followed through and executed.
* Drive communication from the sales team on key product drops and SMU’s onto the PR team.
* Maintain the monthly budget tracker documents and also specific areas of the budget.
* Provide a monthly forecast of the budget split by area.
* Analyse all monthly reports that are provided from HQ and identify any potential issues as early as possible.
* Ensure total budget for the year is tracking to target.
* Provide regular budget update to line manager.
General
* Collaborate with various teams in the HQ and Italy Country Manager and key sales team members.
* Share information from HQ with the commercial team as necessary.
* Share insight from the countries with the wider marketing team.
* Attend all weekly team meetings and report on upcoming activities and any additional needs.
* Circulate every month the regional highlights document showcasing marketing initiatives from each region.
Knowledge and Experience
To apply you must have/be:
* Managed a brands regional marketing projects from both a planning and execution point of view.
* Proven experience in retail, and trade marketing in a fashion or sports brand
* Fluency in both Italian and English (spoken and written).
* A highly collaborative and communicative person and willing to work with different teams and regions.
* Proven experience in agency/supplier management.
* Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and demanding expectations from internal and external partners.
* Experience in working with accounts in the sportswear industry in Italy.
* You must be capable of identifying opportunities to create brand storytelling opportunities in partnership with accounts either at retail or through digital.
* A good understanding of how digital marketing works and how it can bring value to the brand.
* Able to comprehend financial data and budgets and make decisions accordingly from a marketing perspective.
* Able to understand business analysis information to help with marketing planning.
* Able to work on the full Microsoft office suite.
* Able to present at local sales meetings to the regional team and at account meetings.
* Willing to travel to the HQ and other regions as required.
Qualifications and Achievements
* Degree qualified, preferably in a marketing-based subject
