Offer Description
The research activity focuses on the development of actuation and conversion of energy systems based on innovative electromechanical architectures. Specifically, the work includes:
1. The development of models for energy conversion systems using unconventional electric machines (e.g., axial flux machines, permanent magnet speed multipliers).
2. The creation of dynamic models integrating energy conversion systems with wave energy converter models.
3. The development and prototyping of actuation and energy conversion systems based on smart materials and structures.
4. The design of optimized controls for these conversion and actuation systems.
The researcher will be engaged in the development and verification of dynamic models of these systems and in the formulation and validation of model-based control strategies. The assistant professor will be involved in training and teaching activities related to his/her research activities.
