Head of Procurement & Logistic - Temporary
Our client is a leading international company in the semiconductor sector.
The Chief Executive Officer reports directly to the resource who will lead and manage the Procurement & Logistics department, also taking care of the growth of the team reporting directly. Within 12-24 months, this individual will hand over the management to them.
Main Responsibilities:
* Control procurement budget and promote a culture of responsible spending.
* Develop strategic plans for procurement.
* Build and maintain relationships with external suppliers to negotiate deals and maintain vendor relationships.
* Ensure high-quality goods and services are delivered to departments on time by optimizing supply chain efficiency.
* Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors to meet organizational needs.
* Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous terms.
* Review existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure ongoing feasibility and update as needed.
* Approve purchase orders and confirm delivery of goods and services.
* Perform risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
* Oversee and manage IT systems tracking shipments, inventory, and supply of goods.
* Maintain accurate inventory and materials targets as per budget.
* Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business partnerships.
* Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
Required Qualifications:
* Education: Master's Degree in Engineering or Physics.
* Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
* Negotiation and Networking: Excellent negotiation and networking skills are essential.
* Supply Chain Operations: Proven experience managing supply chain operations and optimizing efficiency.
* Software Proficiency: Experience using supply chain management software such as Oracle, SAP Ariba, or Envision.
* Contract Preparation: In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
* Time Management: Multi-tasking and time-management skills with ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
* Stress Management: Ability to handle work-related stress and pressure.
* Emergency Procedures: Knowledge of operating instructions for emergency situations and partial or total evacuation of the site.
