Job Description:
Are you passionate about ensuring websites and applications are accessible to users utilizing assistive technologies? Do you have knowledge of WCAG 2.0/2.1, Section 508, and other accessibility standards? If you enjoy collaborating with Developers and QA Engineers on accessibility standards and best practices, this might be the perfect role for you!
Responsibilities:
* Act as a go-to SME on accessibility, WCAG guidelines, and code-level remediation; provide regular audit reviews for compliance
* Prepare, run, and report on user review feedback and WCAG audits
* Serve as an educational resource to product teams and conduct office hours
* Identify quality issues proactively and set up training programs for teams or individuals
* Train new team members on accessibility testing on desktop and mobile devices
* Manage multiple projects with different clients
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
* 5+ years as an Accessibility specialist
* Deep technical knowledge of accessibility, including code-level remediation and collaboration with developers
* Experience with assistive technologies and WCAG checkpoints
* Consulting experience and strong customer-facing skills
* Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented
* Ability to multitask and manage concurrent activities
* Comfortable working collaboratively in a matrix organization
