Position Summary Information
The Professional and Personal Development Graduate Assistant position is for Villanova graduate students interested in services, online platforms, and events that support the personal skill development of students, alumni, faculty, and staff. We encourage all Master’s Degree student applicants with relevant experience and interests to apply.
The graduate student position will assist with administering resources, events, and training for university-wide initiatives pertaining to professional and personal development, including the delivery of the Ignite Your Strengths program, LinkedIn Learning, and the Personal Skills for Life initiative. The graduate student position works closely with a variety of internal and external constituents and provides support at the direction of the Director, Professional and Personal Development.
The Graduate Assistant will be involved with all aspects of the Professional and Personal Development office. Our goal is for the graduate student to enhance their skill set and be a positive contributor to the office.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the Director, Professional and Personal Development in the management of communications related to Suitable, iGrad, LinkedIn Learning, and Gallup platforms.
* Preparing and conducting presentations on topics such as the use of the iGrad platform, Ignite Your Strengths Resources, and Student Experience Funding Resources.
* Assisting with the distribution of CliftonStrengths assessment codes and instructions for undergraduate and graduate students using the Gallup Access platform.
* Supporting Professional and Personal Development programming by providing event support, creating surveys, conducting research, and taking meeting notes as needed.
* Assisting with preparation and distribution of materials for workshops, events, on-campus activities, and marketing campaigns as needed.
* Must have a strong knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Forms.
* Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills and work positively with a variety of constituents (students, faculty, staff, and alumni).
