a leading European company in the oil & gas and industrial plant sector operating
in more than 30 countries and with 3500 employees worldwide, is looking for:HSE (health safety and environment)MANAGER(Ref. RM-1D18E)The role holder
reports directly to the MANAGING DIRECTOR and functionally to the
projects/construction sites TECHNICAL DIRECTORATE and the GROUP QHSE MANAGER. By
establishing relationships with customer representatives, construction
management, suppliers, subcontractors, public and private entities the HSE
MANAGER has the task of promoting a sustainable HSE culture in order to
guarantee the safety and health of the employees and collaborators at the
company offices and at construction sites in Europe and in the Mediterranean. The activities are carried out in
the collaboration with approx. fifteen direct internal collaborators.Key tasks and accountabilities: • Responsible for Health and Safety on the Work
Place (RSPP) pursuant to Legislative Decree 81/2008 and subsequent updates. • Proposal, development, implementation and
managing of HSE systems and processes for company activities, in accordance
with the ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards. Development of company security system
in order to protect the environment and implementation of strategies for
sustainable development. Auditing activity with the purpose of determining the
company HSE performance. • Development and implementation of strategies
and action plans that ensure sustainable development of the company; •
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of mandatory regulations and standards, as
well as any interpretations thereof. • Identification
and assessment of risk factors present in the company and identification of
measures for the safety and health of the work environment; • Gathering
of all necessary information necessary for the elaboration of the Risk
Assessment document, as well as the implementation of specific training
programs for employees;•
Analysis, correction and, where possible, elimination of risk factors
(including those related to exposure to harmful substances), ensuring that
personnel is informed and trained in accident prevention and provided with
protection and emergency equipment.• Organization
of education/trainings and managing information at all company levels
concerning: 1. Risks
to health and safety at work related to company activities;2. First
aid, firefighting, evacuation of workplace procedures; 3. Names
of the workers appointed to apply the fire prevention, firefighting, first aid,
emergency management and evacuation measures;4. Names of the Workers’ Safety Representatives and
the Qualified Health Professional; 5. The
specific risks related to each company activity, safety norms and the relevant Company
regulations;6. The hazards
related to the use of the dangerous substances and preparations on the basis of
the safety information cards as established by the laws in force and by the
norms of good practice;7. The
measures and activities of protection and prevention adopted in the HSE
integrated management system, promoting the utmost attention to the HSE issues.•
Development of training and information programs for employees in the fields of
health, safety at work and environmental management.•
Elaboration and control of the preventive and protective measures, identification
of the personal protective equipment appropriate for the task to be
performed and the employee• Proposal
of the organization of emergency services;• Prompt
analysis of incidents and near misses and development of HSE prevention and
protection improvement actions • Support
to the company organization in HSE issues as one of the company core business
aspects;•
Participation in the preparation of tenders as an HSE expert;• Taking
part in the management of project teams as an HSE expert;
* Preparing and keeping active HSE records and statistics;
* Coordination and conducting audits, both internal and external (carried out
by third parties)
• Carrying out analysis and investigations; delivery of reporting to the
Management on the encountered non-compliances and the analysis of their causes;
collection and record of customer satisfaction data; customer complaints;
performance indicators;•
Development and monitoring of the company's HSE performance, its process and
the preventive and corrective actions to be taken;
• Environmental impact assessment in order to identify, assess and reduce
environmental risks to which the organization could be exposed and analysis of
the subsequent financial risks;•
Proactive support to the Business unit managers through the systematic auditing
activity aimed at highlighting possible regulatory non-compliances;
• Participation at the periodic company meetings regarding the management of
company security;• Active
participation at the periodic meetings and in international working groups with
occasional trips to the headquarters located in Germany.Education and
Qualifications
In addition to the
legal requirements, certificate of RSPP (Responsible for Safety on the Work
Place) with title ATECO (Classification of Economic Activity) for macro sector
SP2 and SP4 and ATECO B3 and B4, the ideal candidate has a bachelor's or a master's
degree preferably in Technical- Engineering area and has attended at least one
specialization course or master' in Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental
Management Systems.
Languages
* Fluency in English
* Fluency in FrenchExperienceRequired min. 10 years’ of
experience in similar roles within large and medium-sized
companies characterized by a complex structure and business activities carried out on construction
sites in Italy and abroad, operating as contractors for large-scale civil
engineering projects, oil & gas, offshore refineries and in general in the
energy production sector.
Knowledge and solid experience in the implementation of
certified management systems in complex companies, such as ISO 14001 and
OHSAS18000.
Diplomacy, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish constructive
relations at all company levels and with private and public entities
responsible for carrying out controls and certifications of the system. Economic package
