Position - LCA & Sustainability Specialist
We seek a proactive and skilled LCA & Sustainability Specialist to join our Environmental & Energy Team. This role involves advancing our sustainability goals at the product level by integrating environmental life-cycle assessment considerations into product design, promoting circular economy principles, sustainable material selection, and contributing to sustainable innovation.
Responsibilities:
* Support the organization in preparing for and implementing new regulations (e.g., ESPR) in product design workflows;
* Introduce sustainability concepts such as eco-design and design for circularity, aligned with standards like ISO 59000 and ISO 14006;
* Assist in managing product data (e.g., component weight, materials, recycled content) for LCA purposes through Master Data and Bills of Materials;
* Conduct LCA studies to assess environmental impacts during product development;
* Support EPD and Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) certification processes;
* Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (e.g., RoHS, WEEE, REACH, Batteries Regulation);
* Engage with academia, research institutes, and industry groups to stay updated on sustainability trends and practices.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Industrial Design, or related fields;
* 1-2 years of experience with Life Cycle Assessment and standards like ISO 14040/44, ISO 14067;
* Motivation to drive change and influence at all levels;
* Strong understanding of product data management, R&D, and product design processes;
* Knowledge of environmental and sustainability regulations (e.g., EPD, CFP, ESPR, REACH, RoHs);
* Analytical skills to interpret data and support decision-making;
* Experience in consumer electronics or related industries is a plus;
* Knowledge of sustainable materials, biodegradable polymers, recycled content, and low-impact chemicals is a plus;
* Fluency in English;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
