This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our fastest growing business divisions within Amazon. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will work closely with finance leaders to develop financial models and analytical insights to assist in evaluating new business concepts, turning insights into operational measurements, and identifying paths to improve overall planning and forecasting process. Primary responsibilities include: Create, improve, and maintain financial metrics, reports and scorecards used for consolidation reports. Measure marketing programs on P&L in a short and long term. Collect, analyze and manage quantitative data to create meaningful analyses and models that drive business decisions, including building financial models for sports advertising deals. A day in the life Creating and maintaining strong relationships with business owners will be an important part of this role, which will require working closely with finance leaders on a daily basis to understand and develop financial models and analytical insights. Strong ownership of the P&L and the ability to help business owners understand month end close results and associated risks and opportunities is important. A bias for action is very important to help the business execute on their plans. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 3 years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 3 years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience. MBA, or CPA. Knowledge of Tableau. Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards). Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence. Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market.
