Leidos is a leading provider of advanced technology, engineering, and project management solutions for the United States government. The company is currently seeking an experienced IT Specialist to join their team in Naples, Italy. This position will involve working on various projects related to the development and implementation of Information Technology (IT) solutions for the Navy.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT, with experience in areas such as software development, testing, and implementation. They will also possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
In this role, the IT Specialist will be responsible for assisting information engineers in coding, testing, and implementation projects. They will also conceptualize, design, construct, test, and implement portions of business and technical IT solutions through the application of appropriate software development life cycle methodology. Additionally, they will interact with customers to gain an understanding of their business environment, technical context, and organizational strategic direction.
Some of the key responsibilities of this position include:
* Defining scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned projects.
* Collecting, identifying, defining, and organizing detailed user and IT requirements.
* Coordinating and collaborating with others in analyzing collected requirements to ensure plans and identified solutions meet customer needs and expectations.
* Confirming and prioritizing project plans and deliverables with the customer.
* Participating in business and technical IT solution implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and conversions.
* Applying metrics to monitor performance and measure key project criteria.
* Preparing system documentation.
* Establishing and maintaining security, integrity, and business continuity controls and documents.
* Analyzing, identifying, and resolving business and/or technical problems using appropriate tools.
* Participating in special studies and staying current on emerging tools, techniques, and technologies.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and at least 4 years of experience in Information Systems (IS). They must also possess a Security and Microsoft Associate Level certification, as well as experience in a single discipline such as assembly, integration, cross-discipline functions, data engineering, industry expertise, knowledge engineering, or legacy evolution.
We offer a competitive salary range of $48,100.00 - $86,950.00 per year, based on qualifications and experience.
