The Managing Director Italy will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the Italian subsidiary, leading the business towards sustainable and profitable growth. The role involves developing and implementing commercial, marketing, and operational strategies aligned with the company’s vision and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Define and implement the strategic plan for the Italian market, ensuring the achievement of growth and profitability targets;
Oversee all business activities, including sales, marketing, operations, supply chain, and finance, ensuring effective coordination among departments;
Lead and motivate the local team, fostering a performance-driven and innovative corporate culture;
Expand brand presence through the development of retail networks (owned stores and franchises), wholesale channels, and digital commerce;
Monitor the market and industry trends to identify new business opportunities and strategic partnerships;
Ensure effective financial management by optimizing operational costs and improving business profitability;
Represent the company in dealings with key stakeholders, institutions, and business partners
Requirements
Proven experience in General Management, Country Manager, or Managing Director roles in the retail sector, preferably with direct experience in managing store networks, wholesale, and digital channels;
Strong leadership and change management skills, with experience in leading multidisciplinary teams;
In-depth knowledge of the Italian market, with a proven track record in developing growth and brand positioning strategies;
Strong analytical and financial skills, with experience in P&L management;
Background in Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Finance, with a holistic view of the business;
Fluent in English; knowledge of a second language is a plus.
