Responsibilities:
1. Manage assigned project(s) according to the project process, ensuring the achievement of project targets (technical, cost, quality, time) and customer satisfaction.
2. Act as the day-to-day contact for the customer.
3. Actively support and enable cross-line organization cooperation to maximize synergies for AVL and the customer.
4. Support the Sales Team during the offer phase by setting up project structure, timeline, risk assessment, and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
5. Manage project initialization and planning with special attention to cross-location project organization and interface with the customer.
6. Serve as the face to the customer and ensure effective communication during project execution.
7. Execute projects according to the project process, with special attention to managing the project team at the local site and monitoring cross-location deliveries via PJM_L.
8. Continuously manage, control, and monitor project execution with special attention to cross-location information flow, aiming to maintain or exceed: Customer satisfaction Budget adherence Delivery quality Project timeline
9. Report to POM or L-POM regarding project management issues (progress, priority questions, resources, coordination, etc.).
10. Provide regular project reporting to AVL internal stakeholders and the customer.
11. Execute project wrap-up with the dual goal of obtaining customer feedback and assessing project execution performance.
12. Lead the overall project team using modern leadership methods (coaching, motivation, team building, mapping social complexity).
13. Conduct Lessons Learned sessions during project execution and share insights with team members and the wider organization.
14. Have authority over overall budget control – build up reserves, release, and limit budget.
15. Form the project team jointly with Skill Team Leaders (STLs) according to required project resources (capacity, quality, and location).
16. Align with Skill Team Leaders regarding the overall technical direction in the assigned project(s).
17. Exercise veto rights via POM regarding work split decisions for effective cross-location project execution.
18. Request and follow escalation procedures according to the project process.
19. Co-responsible for effective hand-over from KAM.
20. Provide technical approval of quality gates according to the AVL release process.
Profile:
21. Graduate from a secondary technical college, university of applied sciences, or university of technology.
22. Professional experience in the aerospace & defense industry or related businesses.
23. Passion and good knowledge about the aerospace & defense environment.
24. Proven capability to manage technical and social topics at different levels of complexity.
25. Intercultural and leadership competence.
26. Self-management and structured way of working.
27. Communication and teamwork skills, readiness to cooperate.
