JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Description SUMMARY: The Senior Accountant reports directly to the Director of Finance and is primarily responsible for supporting the Finance Department with a wide variety of functions which include transactional processing, financial analysis, budget monitoring, and cost allocations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Process and post monthly/quarterly expense allocations.
2. Prepare and monitor budgets.
3. Prepare and post payroll liabilities entries.
4. Reconcile A/R and A/P balances to ledgers.
5. Perform bank reconciliations.
6. Budget and claim grants.
7. Create adhoc reports requested by Agency staff.
8. Preparation of the 1505 report.
9. Serve as audit lead.
10. Prepare monthly financial reports for the Board of Control.
11. Assist the Director of Finance in confidential projects as needed.
12. Assist with system conversions and process improvements.
13. Prepare financial statements for the Smart Thinking Foundation.
14. Perform other duties as assigned.
