Our Global Customer Support division is responsible for Kongsberg Maritime's services, upgrades and support in the aftermarket. The position
An exciting opportunity has arisen as Field Service Engineer – Control Systems. In this role, you will be a part of the Global Customer Support’s Service Delivery Team, and report to the Operations Manager. You will be responsible for performing installation and commissioning activities of Kongsberg’s Propulsion & Handling control systems on our customers’ vessels and at major shipyards around the world, as well as providing in-house technical support to our customers. If you have technical qualifications in control systems, then you have the competence we seek. Key accountabilities
1. Inspection, upgrade and troubleshooting of propulsion control products in accordance with applicable procedures and regulations.
2. Support handling technical inquiries together with Technical Support & Engineering department.
3. Continuous improvement and development of the process related to the installation/commissioning/start up.
4. Documentation and reporting.
Qualifications and experience
1. Solid electronic background.
2. Previous experience on electrical and electronic systems and related systems of marine engine command and control is considered a plus.
3. General good computer skills.
4. Proficient written and oral skills in English.
5. Ready and motivated for world-wide support activities.
6. Knowledge of and experience with Kongsberg Maritime products is an advantage.
