Position Summary
Huber AgroSolutions (HAS) seeks a Technical Support Specialist to support specialty crop field trials, develop technical reports, and provide training on our product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have expertise in agronomy, plant nutrition, and agricultural markets, with strong communication and analytical skills. He/she will closely cooperate with product management and the commercial team on defining yearly objectives.
Responsibilities include:
1. Provide technical product support to sales teams and customers.
2. Deliver training sessions and create educational materials for internal teams, customers, and stakeholders.
3. Develop technical presentations and instructional aids for various audiences.
4. Oversee field trials for existing and new products, including trial design, evaluation, and analysis.
5. Collaborate with universities/research centers to conduct trials and report results.
6. Prepare regular updates on trial progress and results for internal and external stakeholders.
7. Assist in developing product positioning for various crops.
8. Act as a product specialist during client/distributor presentations.
9. Build relationships with growers, consultants, and distributors to drive sales.
10. Collaborate with the sales team on market research and competitor analysis.
11. Address technical inquiries via phone, email, or webinars.
12. Investigate product performance complaints and conduct root cause analyses.
13. Provide on-field support for key customers representing large turnover.
14. Share field insights with the Global Innovation Team and Product Management.
15. Develop comprehensive product application plans, tailored by both crop and customer.
16. Support pre-launch activities by participating in late-stage product development tests.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Biology, Crop Science, or related fields required. Masters or PhD as a plus.
* Preferably at least a few years of experience in agriculture or agronomic fields.
* Proficiency in specialty agriculture production practices.
* Strong analytical, written, oral, and presentation skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office tools.
* Strong work ethic with a customer-focused mindset.
* Ability to build partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Self-starter with attention to detail and a collaborative attitude.
Travel Requirement: Ability to travel more than 30%.
The position is for a 1-year fixed-term contract.
