Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for supervising all Security Officers on assigned shifts and campus, ensuring the preservation of order, protection of property and personnel, and enforcement of security regulations. Additionally, the role involves supporting the line Manager to improve overall site security operations and maintain a high standard of safety.
Tasks:
1. Supervise and coordinate Security Officers on assigned shifts, ensuring that 24/7 SLA obligations are always met.
o Includes FTE and 3rd Party contractors.
2. Maintain situational awareness through officer presence, video surveillance, and positive access control.
3. Ensure the proper implementation of security protocols and enforce regulations.
4. Maintain an updated log of all events to document incidents and activities.
5. Produce required reports to management team.
6. Support the line Manager in enhancing security operations and identifying areas for improvement.
7. Assist in incident response and escalation procedures to ensure the safety of personnel and assets. Includes follow-up reporting and investigation of incidents.
8. Ensure all security staff are suitably trained and qualified for their duties.
9. Responsible for maintaining correct access permissions, visitor management, loading bay access, key management, and external perimeter control.
Job Practicalities / Skills and Qualifications:
1. Experience in security supervision or law enforcement.
2. Strong leadership and team management skills.
3. Ability to handle high-pressure situations with a proactive and problem-solving approach.
4. Familiarity with video surveillance systems and access control technologies.
5. Ability to learn and use multiple software systems.
6. Excellent communication and reporting skills.
7. Ability to comply with all locally required qualifications and registrations.
8. Proficient (fluent) in spoken and written English, and local language (German/Scandinavian/French/Italian languages are a plus).
9. First aid responder certified, or ability to achieve certification.
10. Service-oriented mindset with a focus on client satisfaction.
