Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Welding Specifications: Elaborate and coordinate welding specifications, codes, and standards.
* Coordination with Field Subcontractors: Work with field subcontractors to develop welding procedure specifications and procedures qualification reports.
* Defect Review: Review the effects of welding defects and implement remedial actions.
* NDT Reports: Review radiographic film and NDT reports on a daily basis.
* Auditing: Audit approved Third Party NDT Inspection Company.
* Welder Qualifications: Witness welder qualifications testing and procedures qualification testing.
* Inspection Methods: Review inspection and testing methods and procedures for Radiographic, Dye Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, and Ultrasonic inspections.
* Safety: Ensure compliance with the highest level of safety during all stages of project execution.
Requirements
* Education: Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and experience (Certifications: AWS, CSWIP, HND, HNC, or NVQ).
* Experience: Extensive familiarity with welding works with at least 5 years of experience as a Welding Inspector.
* Industry Experience: 3-5 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, with Onshore power plant experience preferred.
