Joining us means joining a caring, responsible, and innovative company where more than 70,000 people lead the way to greener and smarter mobility, worldwide.ResponsibilitiesHe/She will be in charge to coordinate the Mechanical Experts team that support the Service Engineering department in:Mechanical/Thermal modelization for dimensioning/validation of the product internally designed.Mechanical Installation/Modification concept design (at both component and train level).Application of FS and Ecodesign rules to comply with railways normative.Update/integration of technical documentation for spare components of old projects (PR).Supporting supplier for spare components manufacturing.The resource will be in charge to translate PrEM’s need in clear deliverables, agree the budget for the activity, plan the deliveries in accordance with the project milestone and follow up the activity exploitation in order to respect the critical path preventing delay.He/she will be also involved in tender phase, in order to quote the effort needed for the activities required to build the general budget of the project.He/she will be responsible to manage the office workload, allocating the different projects during the time to the resources with the scope to have a regular distribution of the working load without affecting projects by delay and avoiding overload or underload of the people. He/she coordinate also external resources in case workload is higher than office capacity.The candidate should be able to lead Mechanical Study for railways application, that could interest both trains or train sub-components. He/she will coordinate a group of designers leading the concept design by regular gate review, to consolidate the project in accordance with Rolling Stock or Platforms requirement.RequirementsThe candidate should have experience or at least base knowledge regarding materials (metallic and plastic), surficial and heat treatment, corrosion topics and rules to avoid it, mechanical machining, bending, riveting, bolting, welding, sealing, non-destructive testing method.The candidate should have experience or at least base knowledge regarding mechanical construction, Finite Element Analysis and Thermal Analysis.Experience in railway field and railways normative awareness will be taken into account as preferential for the candidate evaluation.Below the knowledge necessary to perform the activities:CATIA V5EN15085EN61373, EN12663Standard norme EN 45545REACH and ROHS, Riciclability -End of life, Nano material, LCA studyAlstom is the leading company in the mobility sector, solving the most interesting challenges for tomorrow’s mobility.
