We are looking for talented and passionate individuals that help drive our vision.Our innovative culture will allow interested candidates to discover and create, through collaboration, cutting edge solutions to tough problems.Job SummaryThe Field Application Specialist works within the Technical Support Organization in collaboration with all other functions of the company to ensure excellent technical and scientific product support for customers in Meridian's direct territories and international distribution partners by performing installations and trainings, providing field product support, scientific and technical sales support and resolving product issues.Key DutiesProvide post-sales support to the customer including onsite instrument installation and product training, validation support, optimization of products to customer’s needs, on-going technical supportCollaborate with the Sales organization in the promotion of products.Provide in-field pre-sales technical support to Sales representatives, including customer facing technical visits, on-site demonstrations, and workshops.Follow-up with the customers via phone calls and in writing to ensure customer satisfaction.Provide post training support, including Wellness VisitsPerform software upgrades on instrumentation and complete all necessary documentation.Conduct product technical training for internal sales and Distributors partners.Contribute to and monitor instrument tracking using Salesforce.Participate in Clinical Sessions with Pathologists reviewing slides on demonstrations or for technical troubleshooting.Drive seminars and special training events for customers (Laboratory Technologists, Pathologists, others Laboratory key stakeholders).Assess competitor activity while on customer sites and to report back to the Sales Management Team.Collaborate and support the Technical Service team when needed, handle customer complaints and inquiries in collaboration with the Technical Service team in compliance with the global complaint handling process.Report the result of actions (trainings, demos, and technical support) to TS ManagerHelp build customer relationships and to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsUniversity degree in Biology, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry or equivalentStrong scientific backgroundProven knowledge and understanding of Medical Diagnostic and Molecular Techniques and/or Microbiology/infectious diseases.Significant hands-on experience with NAAT and microbiologyMinimum 5 years’ experience in similar roleEnthusiasm, strong interpersonal and motivational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced.Italian native speaker and strong English language skills are necessary for this role
