About the job We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for Exteriors & Interiors to join our headquarters at Sant’Agata Bolognese (BO). You will report directly to the Head of Manufacturing Engineering, Exteriors & Interiors and will be responsible for influencing the new product from an industrial area perspective in the Exteriors/Interiors and system, participating in different phases of the car’s development. You will also be responsible for setting the assembly and test process for Exteriors/Interiors. Your responsibilities will focus on: Evaluation and influence of product assembly concepts and solutions, by working closely with the R&D Dept. during product development, focusing on Exteriors/Interiors components. Assembly concept definition: RPS (Reference Point System) and Tolerance Chain Management. Participation in cross-functional meetings (SET) to align assembly and functional demands to emerging development/modification issues. Applying design for assembly and design for manufacturing principles during the development phase of the project. Leading the Design for Manufacturing Process, involving R&D and Quality Dept. to guarantee a robust industrialization of the car. Guaranteeing optimal field quality. Respecting economic goals. Evaluating and influencing the product design to steer assembly concepts and test processes, by working closely with R&D during product development. Designing and planning the production & test process by ensuring consistency with budget and timing. Designing and planning the external trims production tools by ensuring consistency with budget and timing. Aligning technological and industrial demands to development issues. Using problem-solving skills to manage complaints in Pre-Series vehicles. In order to meet these targets, you will need: University degree in Mechanical Engineering. 3 years of experience in Automotive Engineering in a similar role. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. Good knowledge of CATIA. Exteriors/Interiors system and components (new models and lifecycle). CAD management. Good knowledge of English and German (as a plus). Strong attitude to interpersonal relationships and teamwork. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
