Join our team as a Demand Planning Specialist and play a key role in optimizing our Global Demand Planning process. This position focuses on ensuring the right stock levels and coverage for each SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) across the Primary & Specialty Care Business Unit, with a strong emphasis on the Italian market, as well as the Biotech Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities:
Elaborates monthly statistical forecast of demand for the Primary & Specialty Care Italy Business Unit using a dedicated tool to provide a baseline to Value & Solution Excellence department for the monthly validation of the operational forecast
Interfaces with Value & Solution Excellence department to identify main deviations to improve forecast accuracy
Contributes to develop and update the reporting related to the main Demand Planning KPI’s (Forecast Accuracy, Back-orders, Stock Coverage)
Collects independent demand (sell-in) from all commercial business units
Performs the Rolling Demand calculation for each SKU as a requirement both for internal production plant and external suppliers to ensure the required levels of stock and to allow Supply Planning and Procurement departments to set up suitable production & procurement plans
Supports Line Manager in coordinating the Sales & Operations Planning meeting (scheduling, slide-deck preparation, drafting of minutes)
Identifies risk of obsolescence based on Sales & Planning root-cause related (e.G. “Exceeding Demand Forecast, Exceeding Supply Coverage, Drop-Out) to be discussed in the Stock Value Risk Management monthly meeting
He/she is involved in the development of new projects related to the demand planning area (implementation of forecasting tools, reporting, etc.)
Qualifications & Skills:
Degree in Management/Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science
At least 3 years’ experience in Demand Planning and Distribution roles are required
Experience with statistical demand forecasting software
Knowledge of main Office application, in particular Excel at advanced level (Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX ) and Access at intermediate level
Intermediate knowledge of Power BI
Knowledge of SAP (MM, SD & PP modules)
Basic knowledge of programming languages will be a plus (VBA, Python) will be a plus
Further Requirements:
Experience in demand modeling
Analytical skills with experience collecting, processing and analyzing a variety of qualitative and quantitative data sets
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively balance the needs of both commercial and production departments
Problem-solving attitude, flexibility to adapt to continuous changing requirements and environments
Will be a plus a previous experience in healthcare industry
