HR Recruitment, Selection & Training Manager
For ship-owner, specializing in Oil & chemical Industry, we’re looking for a Safety/Vetting MANAGER, with role of DPA and CSO.
The role shall have the following duties:
* Act as a link between the vessel, shore personnel, external stakeholders on safety and pollution prevention aspects and the highest level of management.
* Monitor the safety and pollution prevention aspects on board, disseminating prevention awareness across the organization.
* Liaise with external stakeholders, managers, and terminal operators in ensuring compliance with the applicable environmental permitting framework.
* Monitor the effectiveness of the Integrated Management System and its compliance with the evolving national and international regulatory framework and industry standards and guidelines.
* Update the Ship Security Plan and perform Security Internal Audits.
* Monitor the execution of shipboard and ship-shore drills, identifying and correcting any shortcomings.
* Perform internal shore and on-board internal audits, participate in third party audits on safety and environmental aspects.
* Liaise with flag authorities and class on ISM and ISPS related matters, arranging external audits (e.g., DOC and SMS audits) both on board and ashore.
* Investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformities identifying root causes, corrective and preventive actions.
* Update the SIRE database.
* Ensure shore support to the vetting process and TMSA management.
* Evaluate the seafarers identifying training needs.
Requirements:
* At least 5 years’ experience in the role in a shipping company/ship-owner company.
* Experience with rules, codes, and standards related to the shipping industry, with a preferred focus on tanker vessels.
* Knowledge of TMSA and OCIMF Vetting Process.
* Knowledge of ISM, MLC, ISPS, SITTGO, SIRE.
* Knowledge of auditing (certification as Internal Auditor ISO Standard 19001:2011 preferred).
* Certified Designated Person Ashore as per ISM code.
* Certified Company Security Officer for Italian Flag.
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365.
* Advanced knowledge of English language, both written and spoken (C1).
Conditions:
The economical/contractual conditions will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.
WORKING HOURS: Full Time – Monday to Friday
