Project Development Manager - Job Description
Our client are one of Europe's leading developers of solar energy. With over 15 years of industry experience and plans to operate 10GW of projects in the coming years, our client have been significantly expanding across Italian market and are now seeking an experienced developer to join their team.
Main Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Project Development, your primary responsibilities will include:
Conducting preliminary development studies and coordinating project teams as well as third-party service providers.
Identifying service providers, managing consultations, and overseeing their work during both consultation and execution phases.
Preparing administrative files for submission to relevant authorities, leading the approval process, providing clarifications, and ensuring timely receipt of permits.
Managing all permitting phases, including participation in public meetings, engaging with administrative bodies and grid operators, and securing necessary permits within deadlines.
Developing project budgets and monitoring them post-internal approval.
Ensuring project schedules and budgets are adhered to until all authorizations are obtained.
Origination of new project acquisitions or partnership opportunities.
Assessing projects for acquisition, participating in purchase negotiations, and coordinating with co-developers.
Negotiating various contracts (e.g., land, grid connection, SPA, shareholder agreements) in collaboration with local partners, with support from internal teams and external consultants.
Profile:
Master’s degree or engineering degree.
A minimum of 1 years’ experience in PV or wind development projects in Italy.
Strong knowledge of solar technical fundamentals and a sound understanding of the Italian PV and electricity markets.
Project management expertise (methodical and detail-oriented approach).
Exceptional communication skills in Italian (primary language), with a professional understanding of English.
