Job Scope: -
Responsible the overall management and supervision of the accounting department. This includes overseeing the work of the accounting team, reviewing financial statements, and preparing reports for upper management. They may also develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
Responsibilities :-
1.Financial Accounting
* Responsible and in-charge of the appropriateness, correctness, and timeliness of financial accounting, recording and submission, include monthly, quarterly and yearly closing of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow in SAP and in compliance with local GAAP. These include sales & GM review by business unit and product, overhead review by cost centre and business unit, appropriateness of accrual and provision, and EBIT/EBITDA finalization.
2.Treasury
* Manage company's cash flow and cash and bank balances (including credit facilities) in an effective and efficient manner, ensuring smooth company operation and maximize cash position.
* Prepare the complete 15-week cash flow projection in every 2-week and/or when required with high accuracy comparing to actual.
3.Statutory & compliance
* Responsible and fully in-charge of statutory audit (include stock take) to ensure audit work is carried out in a smooth and organized manner and unqualified audit report is obtained within timeline from HQ and local requirement.
* Dealing with company secretary to ensure compliance with local regulations.
* In-charge and ensure compliance with all local regulations, i.e. license application and renewal.
* E-invoicing implementation and compliances.
* Transfer pricing compliance.
4.Credit Control & Assessment
* Review and assess new credit application, existing credit renewal/extension/credit limit increase/reduction.
* Review and assess current credit risk and propose for provision for doubtful account if necessary.
* Ensure proper control on the approved credit limit and terms given, perform periodical credit assessment on every customer.
* Credit recovery include liaison with sales team and lawyer in following up on slow/non collection and taking legal action if necessary.
5.Process improvement
* Leading and executing the process improvement initiatives i.e. E-claims, new procurement procedures
6.Working capital management
* Stock management including inventory reporting & assessment, slow and non-moving inventory management to achieve company DIO day target
* AR collection, projection and follow up to achieve company DSO day target
* AP payment to ensure smooth company operation at the same time maximize payment credit to improve company working capital to achieve DPO day target
Requirements:-
* At least 8-10 years working experience in similar capacity and possess strong background in accounting function in the manufacturing environment.
* Has good knowledge in accounting and ERP system preferably SAP system.
* Welcome a challenge to excel in a dynamic work environment.
* Possess good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia and able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Self-motivated, resourceful, mature and highly initiative to work independently.
Qualifications: -
* Accounting degree, ACCA, MICPA, CPA in Accounting or Finance or any related discipline.
