We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join Carraro R&D department. You will be responsible for leading the technical team in developing new solutions for one or more product lines, defining technical specifications, coordinating the team, and ensuring alignment with company strategies. Responsibilities: Defining Technical Specifications: Translate market and customer needs into detailed technical specifications for new products or enhancements to existing ones. Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from conception to market withdrawal, ensuring consistency with the company's strategy. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure alignment of activities and product success. Prototypes and Testing: Supervise the creation, testing, and evaluation of prototypes, ensuring they meet technical specifications and quality requirements. Technical Documentation Management: Ensure proper management and updating of technical documentation. Coordinate and supervise the work of the technical team. Manage resources for product development within the technical area of expertise. Provide technical support to the sales team, customers, and other stakeholders. Requirements: Master's Degree in Engineering. At least 10 years of experience in the role. Design and Engineering Skills: Knowledge in the mechanical field with a strong ability to interpret technical drawings, use CAD/CAM design software (PTC Creo), and understand engineering principles. Knowledge of Specific Software and Tools: Simulation software, data analysis (Matlab, AMESim, Mathcad), product lifecycle management (PLM Windchill), and all basic applications (MS Office). Project Management: Manage complex projects, defining objectives, budget, timeline, and monitoring progress. Knowledge of Product Testing and Validation, familiarity with production processes and quality standards in the industry. Leadership and ability to lead, manage a team, and work collaboratively.
