The Resident Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction, and maintaining the hotel's standards of excellence. This role requires a dynamic leader who can effectively manage staff, handle guest relations, and implement operational strategies to enhance the hotel's performance.
Responsibilities:
Operational Management:
* Oversee all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance.
* Ensure that all departments are running efficiently and effectively, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
Guest Relations:
* Create a welcoming atmosphere for guests and ensure a high level of customer service.
* Address guest complaints and feedback in a professional manner, striving for resolution and satisfaction.
Staff Leadership:
* Recruit, train, and mentor hotel staff, fostering a positive work environment.
* Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews to ensure team alignment and motivation.
Financial Oversight:
* Assist in the preparation and management of the hotel budget.
* Monitor financial performance, including revenue and expenses, and implement strategies for improvement.
Marketing & Sales:
* Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies that enhance the hotel's visibility and guest bookings.
* Build relationships with local businesses and organizations to drive group and event bookings.
Compliance & Safety:
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
* Conduct regular inspections of the property to maintain standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
Reporting:
* Schedule regular reports on hotel performance, guest feedback, and operational challenges for senior management.
* Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Experience of 3-5 years of hotel management or a similar role, preferable in Luxury Marriott Properties
* Excellent command of Italian and English. Additional languages will be appreciated
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
* Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Proficiency in Opera and Opera Cloud PMS, MGS, MARSHA Operational Systems required.
* Knowledge of local attractions, events, and businesses to enhance guest experience.
