JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking an operationally focused leader of TPM with excellent program management and operations management skills, strong technical expertise, and hands-on project management skills to continuously improve our execution capabilities as Mobilisights grows. The right candidate is adept at writing technical specifications, managing software reliability engineers (SRE) and technical program managers, owning program schedules from design to release, partnering effectively across organizations, and multiple technology teams, within and outside of Mobilisights, and managing significant, complex launches. You will enable transparency and decision-making across Mobilisights leadership by providing critical communication and clear status of the initiatives you own.
As a head of technical program management, you will build and lead a diverse team of technical program managers and SREs to execute on Mobilisights data platform with highest level of operational excellence. In this role, you will wear many hats. You must possess a combination of strong technical skills and business acumen, as well as a do-what-it-takes attitude. You must be a strong leader who communicates clearly across all company levels. You don't want to be part of an industry movement;

MAIN ACTIVITIES
Key Responsibilities:
Own planning and delivery of data platform and data products
Own release management process and tooling.
Own SRE functions of preventative and detective controls on alerts, monitoring and reporting.
Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs against developer experience, customer experience, and time to market.
Drive architecture, engineering and integration decisions, and timelines across multiple teams and organizations.
Establish business processes and policies, as well as metrics and indicators for success.
Develop, report, and continually improve business performance and operational metrics.
Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.
Establish structures that enable your team to solve complex problems and deliver large systems.
Work successfully with customers, leaders, and other engineering teams. You foster constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and lead the resolution of contentious issues.
Build an organization that strives for operational excellence.
Manage team priorities, headcount projections, recruiting, and continuous performance evaluations.
Hire the right mix of technical program managers to accomplish team goals. You can assess performance and have experience managing both high and low performers. You take effective action addressing employee concerns. You successfully hire, develop, and promote.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
12-15 years of relevant technical program management experience in building data platform and data products:
experience building agile processes and managing release schedules
Experience in partnering with product and cross-functional program management teams.
Excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to drive innovation and passion about learning new technologies.
Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
Demonstrated knowledge of AWS technologies.
Experience influencing stakeholders across multiple functions.
Experience communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience in a Software Development Team working with Agile framework like Scrum as Scrum Master.
Experience working with Jira and distributed teams across geographies.
Experience working on Alerting and monitoring tools like Opensearch, Grafana.
