We are currently seeking a Product Engineer Energy Storage to join our dynamic team in Bologna, Italy!
This position is in charge of supporting the products in the Energy Storage COE during their life cycle, transferring lessons learned collected in the field to the engineering team, and working in conjunction with other teams to develop test cases to verify product features.
Evaluate alternative components and solutions that may be adopted during the life of the products. The AC Power Global Energy Storage COE designs and maintains energy storage systems utilized by the Uninterruptible Power Supply and power converters. Executes engineering tests, verifies that the product meets design requirements, executes value engineering analysis to reduce product costs, supports field engineers for special applications, and assists service for field issues.
What kind of work will you be doing?
1. Work with the Service team to coordinate activities and provide necessary documentation to start the Change Order processes.
2. Cooperate with other engineering functions during the definition of the product specification.
3. Support the testing team for the definition of the test plan and review test results.
4. Produce technical documentation in line with process requirements such as drawings and component specifications.
5. Work with Manufacturing Engineers to analyze product costs.
6. Analyze specific applications providing active support and service.
What will make you successful?
1. University degree or technical diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
2. Experience in equivalent areas (e.g., UPS, Power converter or low voltage electrical distribution) is a plus.
3. Excellent planning and communication skills are required.
4. Good knowledge of electrical power components.
5. Good knowledge of PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) and processes.
6. Good team working attitude and communication.
7. Customer-oriented and availability to travel.
8. Good English language knowledge.
