For our own projects, we are looking for: Construction Manager.
MISSION:
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that fabrication activities comply with safety, quality, and project requirements while managing subcontractors, schedules, and resources efficiently. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of construction and fabrication processes in the oil & gas sector.
TASKS:
* Lead and manage the fabrication phase of the construction project, ensuring alignment with project scope, budget, and schedule.
* Oversee the execution of fabrication activities, including welding, assembly, and structural works, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
* Ensure adherence to HSE policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety among all personnel.
* Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and quality teams to address technical issues and ensure smooth project execution.
* Supervise subcontractors, monitor their performance, and ensure they meet contractual obligations.
* Develop and maintain construction schedules, progress reports, and forecasts, identifying and mitigating potential delays.
* Manage resource allocation, including labor, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Ensure all fabrication activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ASME, API, AWS).
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess progress, quality, and compliance with project specifications.
* Report to senior management and stakeholders, providing updates on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* 10+ years of experience in construction management, specifically in the Oil & Gas sector during the fabrication phase.
* Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, welding processes, structural steel, piping, and pressure vessels.
* Proven track record of managing large-scale Oil & Gas fabrication projects in a fabrication yard or module yard.
* Familiarity with industry standards and codes such as ASME, API, AWS, and ISO.
* Fluent in English, written and spoken.
