The role is responsible for coordinating their development team and implementing specific features of the Docebo LMS. The Software Development Manager will also be responsible for supporting business and product development processes.
About This Opportunity:
Accountable for the technical design, delivery, maintenance and integration of the product owned by your team
* Be responsible for assuring the quality of the product following agreed quality assurance standards
* Leading the correct epic - created by business owners - and user story refinement and relative acceptance criteria
* Review our interfaces to make them more admin friendly and introduce new methods to automate custom processing to increase the configurability while decreasing the repetition of tasks.
* Follows and respects in the release process and in the live environments to facilitate the release of separate services and to improve Reliability, Resiliency, Scalability, Ownership, COGS
* Responsible for the project documentation
* User Story splitting, the definition of low-level/more granular User Stories. It includes more granular ACs' titles (Scenarios)
* Responsible for project documentation, he/she manages the bug lifecycle, defines the Sprint Goal and ensures the completion of the Sprint Goal and the success of the Sprint by resolving impediments
Team Leadership:
* Leading, mentoring, coaching, developing and managing his/her own team
* Drive a culture of agility, transformation and team empowerment. Foster a culture of delivering continuous value based on measurable outcomes focussed around business goals and customer satisfaction
* Own total service performance, managing communications when conflicts and impediment occur, and leading retrospectives to resolve and mitigate further conflicts
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years of equivalent position
* Excellent command of the English language and the ability to present and defend your ideas to other key stakeholders both verbally and in writing
* Understanding product development life cycle; Understanding of SDLC including quality assurance, change management, and release processes
* Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment
* Knowledge and correct use of Gherkin for writing acceptance criteria
* Knowledge of or any programming language
* Experience with AWS or similar cloud service providers
* Proven planning and prioritizing skills in order to deliver to deadlines
* Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to communicate complex technical concepts
* Ability to manage upwards, influencing senior leaders
* Ability to review processes and drive change through continuous improvement
Preferred Requirements:
* Experience with Trunk Based development / Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery
* Experience with serverless and containerized applications
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code frameworks, in particular AWS CDK
