About the role
A mechanical engineer designs, develops, and manages mechanical solutions to be applied to mechanical equipment. A mechanical engineer cooperates with other R&D departments in the design phase and in every subsequent phase of product development. The mechanical engineer is also responsible for troubleshooting and testing of the final product. Estimation of the overall project/product cost is also part of the job. The engineer makes all required modifications and troubleshoots problem areas, follows safety regulations, and provides a detailed record of the project.
Main responsibilities
1. Design capital equipment (machinery) both mechanical and hydraulic
2. Responsible for detailed design specifications and other documents in their creation
3. Design, engineer, test, and troubleshoot
4. Provide detailed documentation including design specifications that enable production or the application of their products
5. Streamline operations for efficiency, cost savings, safety, and reliability
6. Maintain technical project files
7. Implement and test design concepts
8. Prepare reports documenting the design details of new projects and qualification test results
Requirements
1. Ability in both mechanical and hydraulic engineering
2. Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks & Inventor preferred)
3. Able to embrace new techniques and technologies
4. Able to work under pressure
5. Able to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform system tests
6. Able to work in a development team
7. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
8. Willingness to travel and work with the R&D Team in HCE (Italy)
9. At least 2 years of relevant experience
