Job Summary:
This position conducts data collection, analysis/reporting, supplier qualification, tenders, and measurement efforts for a specific commodity or commodities.
The ideal candidate will assist with improvements to current processes and the implementation of new processes to maximize efficiencies, develop and maintain relationships with UPS vendors, and support the execution of contracts within the assigned commodity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop category implementation plans to ensure continuous process improvement.
* Create complex spreadsheets, documents, reports, and presentations.
* Support the execution of contracts within the assigned commodity.
* Assist with Requests for Information (RFIs), Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Quotation (RFQs), financial and performance clauses, metrics, terms, and penalties to ensure the best bid among vendors.
* Develop fact-based negotiation strategies to obtain the best value.
* Maintain and contribute to weekly and monthly reporting.
* Support buyers in their daily functions as needed.
* Identify ways to reduce costs through competitive sourcing initiatives for the Direct/Indirect category around Europe.
* Enforce Procurement policies to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent – Mandatory
* Experience with vendor sourcing - Mandatory
* Experience with negotiations - Mandatory
* Experience with contract management – Mandatory
* Experience in logistics – Preferred
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook, Oracle, Coupa
* Fluent English and Italian Mandatory – Spanish and German Preferred
