Software Tester

Inside the Ground Segment and Systems Engineering Area in Rome, we are looking for a Software Tester Engineer passionate about our sector!

Activities/Responsibilities
Validate digital platforms based on distributed cloud technology
Execute test procedures using the approved AIV plans and in agreement with the test campaigns
Setup, configure and maintain test, reference and target platforms
Install and update COTS and application SW
Support the anomaly investigation in agreement with the Anomaly Management process
Prepare script and/or program aiming to support SW deployment, Test Execution and Test Results collection
Ensure the quality of the delivered software items
Requirements and User Stories Analysis
Definition of the acceptance criteria and the verification strategy
Prepare the test environment, test procedures and test reports
Detect the software defects and coordinate the bugs closure with the development teams
Set-up of the automated test procedures
Qualifications/Experience:
Master's Degree or equivalent from an institution of higher education in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
At least 2 years of experience
Essential Skills:
Experience in the area of complex Systems Verification & Validation (V&V) activities, including identification of necessary test data and tools, automated testing in support of system testing, software testing, unit testing, software debugging and profiling
Experience in software verification activities
Good knowledge of Windows and Linux environments, containers and related orchestration frameworks (e.g. Dockers, Kubernetes)
Good knowledge of Virtual Environments (VMWare, esxi, vsphere, openstack, KVM)
Knowledge of Agile/DevOps models and related testing approach (e.g. Jenkins)
Knowledge of Cloud-based infrastructure and applications, microservices architectures
Knowledge of work management tools, e.g. Jira, Confluence
Knowledge of CI/CD tools, e.g. Jenkins, GitLab
Knowledge of software test tools and frameworks, e.g. Katalon, Postman, Testiny, Playwright
Knowledge of Bash, Python
