LOGISTICS WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS MANAGERGeneral SummaryDirects the work activities of 3-4 shipping department staff, and 3-4 warehouse crew. Hands-on direction of daily activities to ensure that our customers shipping requirements are met. Drives results in the areas of safety, quality, and cost. Drives the continuous improvement process; identifies improvement opportunities and applies appropriate tools to improve on-time shipments. Maintains a clean, organized, and orderly warehouse. Ensures full compliance with all Federal and State laws and regulations, as well as Company policies in the areas of Safety, Quality, and Workplace Conduct.Specific Job Duties:Logistics:Oversees order management to make sure all orders are in process to meet customer’s shipping deadlinesRoutes orders and ensures that pickups are executed on timeMaintains order pickup schedule and monthly activity calendarResponsible for making sure shipping expense meets or exceeds customer expectationsShipping:Ensures shipments leave the building with 100% accuracyManages daily productivity levels in all areasReceiving:Responsible for inflow of goodsMaintains all logs for receivingResponsible for receiving accuracy of incoming shipments of overseas packagingResponsible for accuracy of outgoing raw materials going overseasWarehouse:Responsible for management of warehouse staffResponsible for all inventory counts organizationResponsible for production staging shelving of productMaintain a clean and organized warehouseConduct physical inventory of raw materialsResponsible for correct stock rotationYearly physical inventoryManagement:Responsible for maintaining food quality standards in every operationCommunicate frequently with managers and co-workers about operations, safety, quality control, and other issues.Key ingredients for success over the first 90 days will be:Actively assist in the shipping department to refine existing processes and ensure orders go out on time and with accuracy.Refine order management process and increase communication with all stakeholders: Production, Shipping, and the WarehouseLearn our product line and customers. Develop warehouse plan for disposition of items and execute on that plan.Organize the Shipping AreaMake sure all paperwork is done and all programs are maintained.Build the warehouse teamSpecific Job Requirements:Minimum 5 years experience of management in manufacturing environment.Ability to drive and train on forkliftComputer proficiencies in all Windows based programs, especially Excel.Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA standards, HACCP guidelines, GMP’s, and SQF requirements.Cross-functional operations experience with proven track record of delivering successful business results in the areas of schedule attainment, quality, and cost.Ongoing passion to identify continuous improvement opportunities and lead initiatives to deliver bottom-line results.
