Role Overview
This is a key role working closely with senior stakeholders, including the Head of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), to develop and execute business development strategies. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and enhancing the firm’s market positioning. There is significant scope for career progression, including the potential to expand and lead the BD team in the future.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support client and revenue growth.
Develop and implement strategic business development plans, with a focus on M&A and other key practice areas.
Conduct market analysis to assess growth opportunities and competitive positioning.
Work closely with senior stakeholders to align BD initiatives with the firm’s overall objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Develop initiatives to enhance the firm’s visibility in domestic and international markets, including event planning, networking, and marketing campaigns.
Support the growth of the BD function, with opportunities to hire and mentor future team members.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns that drive business development.
Candidate Profile
Proven experience in a business development role within the legal or professional services sector.
Strong strategic planning and market analysis skills.
Ability to manage relationships with senior stakeholders and partners.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers.
Fluent English (Italian language skills not required).
Willingness to relocate to Rome, with a strong interest in working in an international environment.
A proactive, results-driven mindset, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
