A job adapted to your career ambitions and in which you could have an impact for the years to come?We are looking for an IT Security Engineer to join our team in Frascati, Italy.In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the EOP-G Project/System Security Officer, Service Managers, and PDGS Ground Segment Managers for the security governance of the Earth Explorers PDGS and common services.This position is open to protected categories under Italian Law 68/99 (“Rules for the right to work of disabled people”).Questa posizione e’ aperta alle categorie protette L. 68/99.Tasks and activitiesThe scope of work will include:Security Risk Assessments: perform comprehensive security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and threats, assess the potential impact of security threats on information systems, and provide guidance on the selection of the appropriate risk treatment measures.Security Requirements: establish and define security requirements for information systems based on the results of security risk assessments and security best practices and assess the compliance of systems and processes with the defined security requirements.Technical Documentation Assessment: review and assess technical documentation (as-designed and as-built) to ensure compliance with security requirements and policies, provide feedback and recommendations to improve security measures.Security Governance Support: assist and advise the Project/System Security Officer in the establishment and enforcement of the Information Security Management Plan, in the review and update of the Department Security Framework, and in the certification and accreditation process.Technical Documentation Production: deliver and review technical notes, reports, procedures, and other technical documentation as requested.Skills and experienceThe following skills and experience are mandatory:University Degree or equivalent in Computer Sciences, IT, Information Security, Electronic/Communication/Aerospace Engineering or relevant technical domain.At least 3 years proven experience in information security or in a related field.Good knowledge of Information Security management policies / standards / procedures, and Security Risk Assessment methodologies.Analytical thinking, problem-solving aptitude and customer focused mindset.Ability to produce and assess technical documentation.Desire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.Solution oriented mindset, with a customer focused communication skill.Fluent in English, both written and spoken.The following skills and experience would be highly desirable: Knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, tools, and practices such as: Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS), firewalls, anti-virus software, log management tools, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, authentication systems, Cryptography and Public Key Infrastructures (PKI), Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.Familiarity with security standards and frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, EBIOS, NIST, GDPR.Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent.Why should you apply?You will have the opportunity to work within leading space organisations across Europe.We encourage everyone to think outside the box and to push the boundaries of traditional knowledge.
