We are seeking a Plant Manager to drive manufacturing excellence in our factory, which plays a key role in the Italian market growth strategy.
The ideal candidate will lead daily plant operations, ensuring optimal factory performance and adherence to policies and procedures. This person must be detail-oriented, able to motivate the organization, and committed to achieving compelling business needs embedded in our Affinity strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead by example, deploying vision, giving direction, fostering engagement, being shop floor execution-oriented, and motivating the organization.
* Promote manufacturing excellence behaviors, committing to safety and quality fundamentals.
* Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed customer expectations.
* Lead cultural changes towards manufacturing excellence, boosting safety, quality, organizational capabilities, and strong systems.
* Increase production, asset capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
* Be responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time shipping.
* Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
* Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
* Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions.
* Develop a trusting relationship with the team and recruit, manage, and develop plant staff to secure staffing and succession planning.
* Responsible for cost management and lead loss analysis processes, securing a year-on-year saving plan delivery.
* Lead organization performance systems, fostering accountability, a run-to-target culture, and optimizing processes.
Requirements:
* 5+ years' experience in a similar position in the food industry.
* Higher education or Bachelor's degree in manufacturing-related engineering.
* Experience leading people and cultural changes in factories with diverse profiles.
* Experience managing workers councils.
* Higher knowledge of quality and H&S standards.
* Organizational and strategic planning skills.
* Familiarity with industry-standard equipment and technical expertise.
* Ability to create accountability and lead by example.
* English is a must; French and Spanish will be nice to have.
