About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Manager to lead operations across Italy for our client’s prestigious luxury brand. This pivotal role requires an individual with exceptional leadership skills and a passion for luxury retail. You will oversee all aspects of store operations, ensuring excellence in team performance, customer experience and commercial management.
Key Responsibilities
People Management:
Leverage Retail Leadership Program skills to lead and coach the team, ensuring exceptional brand and product awareness.
Identify individual and team training needs;
communicate proactivelywith HRBP and Head of Retail for support.
Provide regular training to enhance client service, product knowledge, and selling skills.
Manage fair scheduling, staff requests, and attendance for optimal operational coverage.
Conduct effective and productive team briefings, covering sales, updates, training, and motivation.
Develop Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for team members, ensuring succession planning.
Foster a collaborative and transparent communication culture.
Set clear objectives for individual duties and targets, regularly reviewing team performance.
Commercial Management:
Drive store and individual sales targets, KPIs, and client strategies.
Analyse business trends, propose action plans, and adapt strategies to local market needs.
Assign clear sales targets to the team and motivate them to achieve.
Prepare reports, assess risks and opportunities, and anticipate business changes.
Oversee store operations with full P&L responsibility, taking necessary actions to optimize performance.
Stay updated on market trends and competitors, reacting strategically to customer initiatives.
Ensure high standards of service to deliver an elevated customer experience.
Monitor CRM efforts, ensuring the team maintains long-term client relationships and grows the database.
Merchandising:
Collaborate with the Merchandising team to maintain optimal stock and assortment levels.
Oversee product replenishment and manage physical inventory.
Develop and implement strategies to maximize product performance through visual merchandising, clienteling and team engagement.
Uphold product integrity by adhering to company guidelines.
Visual Merchandising (VM):
Ensure visual displays align with VM and company guidelines.
Maintain functional store displays and appropriate product levels on the sales floor.
Store and Back Office Operations:
Proficiently and accurately use the POS system.
Participate in inventory, cycle counts, and merchandise reception.
Ensure proper store maintenance and adherence to stockroom guidelines.
Enforce compliance with company policies and procedures.
Manage safety and security issues per company procedures.
Key Requirements:
Degree in a related field.
Minimum 5 years of retail management experience;
luxury fashion experience is a plus.
Fluent in Italian and proficient in English.
Strong business acumen and sales analysis skills.
Basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Excellent communication and team management skills.
Strong organizational, planning, and implementation abilities.
Detail-oriented with effective time management skills.
