Job Summary/Role description
Reporting to the Head of Department Green Power and Assets Business Unit, the Construction Engineer is involved in preparation of Work Requisitions (both in proposal and execution phase), scouting of potential construction Subcontractor, schedule preparation and optimization of the construction sequencies.
Duties and responsibilities
To prepare Work Requisition (WR) for construction works, Site offices, Site camp
To evaluate the offers received
To prepare construction schedule (both in proposal and execution)
To explore the market identifying the potential Subcontractors in the country
To conduct constructability analysis and relevant follow up
To identify construction sequencies permitting to reduce schedule and costs
To identify alternative solutions for cable laying or overhead electrical lines in presence of underground or above ground hindrances
To support the Site in its necessities
To participate in weekly construction meetings with Client and/or Subcontractor
To support the Field Engineering Manager in defining alternative solutions solving the Site criticalities
To support the Project Control Manager in preparing the progress data
To support the Subcontract Manager in defining new prices or evaluating the work to be paid to Subcontractors
To support the Contract Manager in preparing change orders and claims
To prepare the Site Mechanical Book.
To support the Operation and Maintenance dpt. Ensuring a smooth handover
Experience
Relevant experience in Green Power Plants (Solar/Wind, H2, NH3 green projects) and Construction Head Office activities
Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience as Construction Specialist in EPC Projects
The work is relevant to Head Office position, but in case of necessities for solving some Site critical issue, it is requreid availability to missions at Site of max 1 month if necessary.
