Position Summary
We are looking for a Master Data Support to join our team based in Pomezia (Rome). This role is responsible for creating and maintaining master data primarily relating to material master, bills of materials, routings, supplier, and maintenance data modules. In addition, this position is responsible for ensuring the highest level of data integrity, governance, and service to internal customers. The role will support developing and improving master data management.
Duties
1. Create and maintain bill of materials and item codes information in accordance with the Master Data Management (MDM) policies and procedures
2. Ensure master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality
3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues relative to items and BOM setup using established guidelines
4. Identify areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve data quality problems
5. Conduct data cleaning to rid the system of old, unused data, or duplicate data for better management and quicker access
6. Maintains a full audit trail of data changes.
7. Provides timely and complete resolution of ad-hoc internal and external data queries
8. Determines priority of work and addresses issues in a timely manner based on understanding of critical factors
9. Manages own time by estimating time to complete, setting deadlines, and communicating in advance when not expected meeting deadlines.
10. Proposes process efficiency improvements in execution of work, automation opportunity, rationalization of processes, and training/education.
11. Play an active role in the Change Management process
Education Degree
Bachelor's DegreeMaster's Degree in Economics or Engineering General
Required Experience and Competencies
12. 1+ years of planning, purchasing and/or master data within a manufacturing environment.
13. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy; strong critical self-review skills.
14. Demonstrates ability to deliver communication, which is clear, concise, and relevant to audience through appropriate methods and tools.
15. Proactive approach to role and problem solving; solution rather than problem focused.
16. Able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with key stakeholders both within and outside of the MDM team to get the job done.
17. Inquisitive and thorough in approach.
18. Self-motivated, flexible, with the ability to deal with high levels of complexity, change and evolving processes, often at short notice.
19. Experience maintaining master data in an ERP system.
20. Demonstrated mid-level or above proficiency with MS Office Excel, analyzing and manipulating large datasets through formulas and macros
21. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
22. Good knowledge of English language (B2 level and above)
23. ORACLE knowledge would be a plus
