The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of extrusion processes, a strong understanding of plastic materials, and the ability to optimize production processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Main tasks and responsibilities: Design, develop, and optimize extrusion processes for a variety of plastic materials. Monitor and adjust extrusion lines to ensure consistent product quality and production efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to extrusion equipment, material flow, temperature control, and process parameters. Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions. Conduct trials and experiments to test new materials, processes, or equipment. Analyze data from production runs to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and work instructions for extrusion processes. Provide technical support and training to production personnel on extrusion-related processes. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations. Work closely with the R&D team to assist in the development of new products and processes. Maintain documentation related to process changes, improvements, and troubleshooting. Participate in the selection, installation, and commissioning of new extrusion machinery. Education and experience: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience (typically 3 years) in extrusion process engineering within the plastics industry. Strong understanding of extrusion machinery, die design, and process control. Experience with material properties and their impact on the extrusion process. Knowledge of plastic materials, including thermoplastics, and their behavior during extrusion. Proficiency in process simulation and data analysis tools. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to meet production targets. Familiarity with industry standards and quality management systems (ISO, etc.). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration.
