Mission Schneider Electric’s Cooling Business Unit is passionate about helping our customers meet their Datacenter Cooling needs. In this position, the Project Quality Engineer is responsible for identifying and eliminating product quality risks during the development process that can impact customer satisfaction and quality. The Project Quality Engineer must collaborate with their SE colleagues to understand, mitigate and eliminate these risks during the product development cycle to assure the highest levels of product quality. This position requires an engineer with strong systems knowledge, solid communication and issue management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed organization comprised of technical professionals. What will you do? Make the bridge between customer requirements, field issues, and the design teams to ensure field quality issues are properly understood and addressed. (Prevent, not React) Provide customer requirements, quality goals, and historical lessons learned to the project team. Ensure that potential application issues and customer misuse opportunities are addressed Escalate important project issues potentially impacting the Customer Satisfaction. Ensure that all opened actions from the project have been properly closed or mitigation plans are in place to support production Ensure completion of key tasks related to quality at each project stage gate review What skills and capabilities will make you successful? Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline is required, and 5+ years of relevant experience. A proven record of problem solving, excellent communication skills, quality systems, operating systems, networking systems, methodologies and tools for solving system level issues, and manufacturing operations experience is required. Experience in handling multiple problems and working on cross-functional project teams Demonstrated ability to lead and influence at all levels of Schneider Electric. Experience with quality engineering tools and practices is preferred: process mapping, 8D process, DFMEA, etc. Must be self-motivated, have good interpersonal skills, capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought and experience.
