Corporate Direct Purchasing Manager - Global
Mission: The Corporate Direct Purchasing Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end procurement operations and processes for materials, products, and services within relevant business areas. The role ensures conformance to expected requirements, service levels, and timely delivery while minimizing costs, achieving results, and contributing to profitable and sustainable business growth, in compliance with QMS and other applicable standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Procurement Strategy Management: Proactively contribute to the development of the procurement strategy, translating it into operational programs and plans to achieve medium-to-long-term objectives for the assigned area.
* Procurement Process Management: Ensure effective execution of procurement processes, including supplier selection, qualification, negotiations, and third-party relationships, to establish profitable and sustainable partnerships.
* Supplier Management: Manage the full supplier lifecycle from scouting to evaluation and continuous monitoring to build strong, strategic partnerships aligned with company policies and procedures.
* Monitoring and Reporting: Analyze market trends, benchmarks, and KPIs, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions to meet annual goals and performance targets.
* Budget Management: Propose, manage, and optimize the procurement budget to ensure resource efficiency and cost control.
* People Management: Plan, organize, and lead the purchasing team, fostering talent development, training, and career growth, while promoting commitment and engagement.
Skills, Experience & Technical Competencies:
* 10+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in the pharma or engineering industries.
* University degree in Engineering, Business Economics, or related fields.
* Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and project management methodologies.
* Expertise in budget management and cost control.
* Proficient in data analysis, performance metrics, and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Familiarity with applicable standards (ISO, cGMP, FDA CFR’s) and legal requirements.
* Excellent leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Workplace: Northern of Padua and Milan.
Work mode: Hybrid, based on the candidate's needs.
