We're looking for a MATERIAL PLANNER
Purpose of the Job
To secure the material delivery from suppliers by liaising on a daily basis with the project planning teams (Industrial Planning and PrIDM), Sourcing Department (when required), and Suppliers.
He has to lead the relationship with Suppliers assigned with the aims of ensuring the material deliveries on time and in full as scheduled by purchase orders and of tracking the KPI of the main logistics service for production with the aims of ensuring the required cost and performance targets.
Main Missions
1. To process purchase orders for production materials on the basis of the frame agreement with Suppliers.
2. To establish and manage a proper relationship with main Suppliers to secure OTIF delivery commitments for the production materials.
3. To manage the assigned suppliers.
4. To set material delivery plan based on call-off methodology when required.
5. To co-ordinate with the Industrial Planning Team for proper material delivery follow-up, detecting potential slippage and proposing corrective actions on assigned Suppliers.
Objectives
1. Ensure “OTD” target of materials for production related to assigned Suppliers.
2. Keep the material delivery schedule in line with material project requirements for the Suppliers assigned.
KPIs
1. Material delivery performance measurement accuracy (methodology in place).
2. Basic reporting system to Industrial Planning for material delivery follow-up.
3. Effective reschedule of engaged purchase orders (keeping low the number of expired purchase orders) for the Supplier assigned.
Responsibilities
1. Expediting purchase orders for all the production materials related to assigned Suppliers.
2. Follow up and delivery rescheduling of assigned supplier and basic reporting to Industrial Planning.
Requirements
1. University Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or Logistics Knowledge/Experience.
2. At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
3. English: fluent written and spoken.
4. Working knowledge of MRP and JIT systems.
5. PC literate with experience of MS Excel and ability to read and understand technical documentation.
6. Desirable working knowledge of SAP.
7. Knowledge of Railway Electronics and Signalling equipment.
