The MES Support Engineer is responsible to analyze and support various manufacturing applications. This requires broad end-to-end knowledge of the manufacturing processes from different perspectives: operator, quality engineering, quality assurance, logistics, finance, etc. The MES support engineer is part of a larger team, which is spread out over the different manufacturing sites. Solutions need to fit together in the end-to-end business flow. Applications which are currently part of the systems landscape are: SAP ERP (Hana), Data analyzer SPC, Siemens Camstar, Oracle Agile PLM, Ignition, and others. The MES support engineer also works in close collaboration with the process engineering, quality, IT, supply chain and Manufacturing departments to ensure manufacturing continuity, end-user training, resolution of Camstar issues, and process improvements/updates in Camstar with minimal guidance.
This position is part of Systems Engineering with the Service Operations team and will be onsite Lodi, CA. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
1. Provide guidance and support to global users including training users on how to use Camstar MES, diagnosing, root cause investigations and MES changes/updates, troubleshooting, and resolving any Camstar MES issues that may come up.
2. Participate in Kaizens and other process improvement activities while aligning them with the Business Solutions Roadmap.
3. Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills and be detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
The essential requirements of the job include:
1. Bachelor’s degree in field with 5+ years of related work experience OR master’s degree in field with 3+ years of related work experience OR doctoral degree in field with related work experience.
2. Possess a strong understanding of ITIL, systems infrastructure, Camstar MES and its applications.
3. Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities and have a good handle on infrastructure, systems and hardware troubleshooting.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
1. Understanding of how different systems may be interfaced and the flow of data between different systems and applications.
2. Working knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System experience such as Camstar, SAP (HANA), Oracle Agile PLM, SPC.
3. Experience working in a medical device manufacturing company.

The salary range is $82,400-$113,300. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
