The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process, ensuring efficient production, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean production methodologies and a proven track record of implementing lean principles to optimize production processes. The Production Manager will support the Plant Manager and the business by managing production and costs according to corporate rules and from a Lean Production perspective. Responsibilities include collaborating with Production Supervisors to manage production, working with the HR Manager for the development and retention of resources, and leading projects for continuous improvement, cost reduction, and waste elimination in the production process. The Production Manager will also manage the production schedule with the support of the Supply Chain department. Key responsibilities include: Manage and oversee daily production operations to ensure timely and efficient production of high-quality products in compliance with the Stanley Black & Decker guidelines. Record the production processes and guidelines with the support of production Supervisors to obtain a consistent operational view of the business. Check and monitor defined KPIs to evaluate production performance. Contribute to solving efficiency and productivity issues across various departments by analyzing weekly results. Collaborate with the Supply Chain department to develop and ensure the execution of production schedules, ensuring alignment with company goals. Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and practices across the production floor. Utilize lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Kanban to streamline processes and eliminate waste. Conduct regular lean audits and training sessions for staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Monitor the schedule of production projects and report their status. Suggest projects that guarantee savings for the company based on targets defined by both the Corporate and the Plant Manager. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards. Implement and maintain quality control processes to minimize defects and ensure consistent product quality. Supervise, mentor, and develop production team members, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment. Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement development plans to enhance team performance. Support Standard Work definition (standard costs) in collaboration with the Plant Manager and the Plant Controller for operations and production processes. Evaluate new product insourcing or optimization strategies in collaboration with the engineering department, with a focus on cost reduction.
